Yo, Philly. Come with me to support lawyers helping people with lawyers on May 22.

Hello People From and Near the City of Freedom,
On May 22nd, come out to the YLD’s (Young Lawyer Division) 5th annual  Comedy Night and Silent Auction, a fundraiser benefiting the Philadelphia Bar Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides legal service to individuals suffering from poverty, discrimination, and abuse.  Ironically, they’ve chosen to have me tell my discriminatory, elitist, abusive jokes for this occasion.  Fair enough YLD.  Fair enough.  The event begins at 7PM, and includes a 4 hour open bar.  4 hours.  Open bar.  Alcohol.  Unlimited for four hours.  Apparently they are also interested in drumming up some new DUI clients.  Seriously, please come down to the Franklin Institute.  For more info, go to www.philadelphiabar.org/page/YLDComedyNight

Upcoming Appearances…

Hello, hello.  Well, school is almost out for the summer, and so, my college schedule is winding down.  While some school shows, most in fact, are for students only, my summer schedule is open to everyone!  Unless you’re not 21! (check with the club – some shows allow younger fans in)  Or you don’t live near where I’m playing!  Or you can’t afford to buy a ticket!  Or you hate me!  Exclamation!  Here’s where I hope to see you soon:

May 6-8 The Comedy Attic (until last week – The Funny Bone), in Bloomington, Indiana  For ticket info, go to http://www.comedyattic.com/

June 3-5 Dr Grins  Grand Rapids, Michigan  (in the summer thank God!)  For ticket info, go to http://www.thebob.com/home.html (click on Dr Grins)

June 23-26 Cap City Comedy Club  Austin, Texas  For ticket info, go to http://www.capcitycomedy.com/

For more dates, check out my Eventful Caledar app below, and slightly to your right, or go to www.myspace.com/dancummins (their calendar app is the only reason I hang on to my profile there)

Take care of yourself.  And watch for black ice.

Comedy Central Air Date for new One Hour Special!

Okay everyone, I finally got the date.  Crazy With A Capital F, my new one hour Comedy Central Special, is set to debut on Comedy Central on Memorial Day weekend, Saturday night, at 11PM.  Please check your local listings.  The unedited companion CD to the special is set to be released digitally on Amazon, Itunes, etc on May 25th, and the full length DVD is set to be released digitally and physically on June 8th.  No word yet on when and if a physical CD will be released.  I’m doing all I can to figure out some way to get one!  Anyway, I’m really happy with it, the DVD will have some fun extras, and by the time it airs, I will have loads of new unrecorded jokes at my live shows.  Thanks everybody!

G4’s International Sexy Lady Show… and me.

I am on 12 episodes of a show for G4 called “The International Sexy Lady Show” on G4, and, apparently, they just aired the first episode today.  Basically, it’s a Vh1 “Best Week Ever” type show, where instead of making fun of pop culture moments, myself and four other comics make fun of various foreign television shows featuring mostly naked, or fully nude women, participating in strange game shows, wrestling, cleaning homes, and engaging in other important activities.  Basically, it’s a show written by, and created for, feminists.  Show, if you feel like taking a break from watching actual porn, maybe you should watch some almost porn featuring commentary from me.  It’ll almost be like we’re watching it together!!

The Hollywood Improv this Friday, Feb 12th…

Hello LA.  Nine years in to standup, and I have my first headlining show in your Hollywood heart, 8PM, 8162 Melrose Ave., at the mother of all Improvs.  Can’t wait.  The good news for you!?! (next to me performing), nearly free tickets at www.improv.com.  All you have to pay is the $3 service charge, and you get a $20 ticket for, well, three bucks.  Here’s how:  Go to www.improv.com, you will see a list of locations, choose Hollywood, CA.  Then, you’ll see a list of upcoming shows with my majestic mug.  Click “buy tickets” under my headshot.  Then, you’ll have to click “select date”, pick the one date listed, click “buy tickets” again, type “blast” in the box marked “promotion”, click “update”, and, voila! $3 ticket price.  The only way I could make it easier for you to get these tickets would be to buy them myself, and then hand deliver them to your doorstep, and then piggyback you into the showroom, and, that’s not gonna happen.  Ever.  I’m sorry.  We all have our pet peeves.  If you don’t want to buy on-line, you can also e-mail the Improv manager, Dee Burdett, at deeburdett@improv.com with your name and the number in your party, and then show up to the box office at the club before 7:30 to pay $10 instead of $20 at the door.  You’re welcome!  Hope to see you there.  Besides me, Brooks McBeth, Ryan McKee, Terry Mulroy, and Kumail Nanjiani will also be performing.  Thanks!!
